If our leaders continue to ignore using our own energy sources such as oil and gas the Cold Fusion or Fuel Cell would solve the energy problem.

Here is someone you must get to know:

Please go to Linda Moulton Howe's website for not only the article "Cold Fusion - For Real?" but many other items that are of great interest. Ms. Howe is on top of many things that other news sources are not reporting.  Her website address is earthfiles.com

COLD FUSION/FUEL CELLS BACK IN THE NEWS

And I am Still  Posting And Waiting For News On The Honda   and Chevy Cars.  When Are They Going Into Mass Production?.

A Purdue University engineer has developed a method that uses an aluminum alloy to extract hydrogen from water for running fuel cells for internal combustion engines. The technique could be used to replace

gasoline, though not quite cost-competitive yet. The method makes it unnecessary to store or transport hydrogen - two major challenges in creating a hydrogen economy, said Jerry Woodall, a distinguished professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue who invented the process. "The hydrogen is generated on demand, so you only produce as much as you need when you need it," said Woodall, who presented research findings detailing how the system works during a recent energy symposium at Purdue.

CHEVY'S EQUINOX IS ON THE ROAD !

Chevy launched a test fleet of hydrogen-powered Equinox Fuel Cell SUVs. This fleet hit the streets of New York City, Washington, D.C., and Southern California.

"Project Driveway" is the first large-scale market test of fuel cell vehicles with real drivers in the real world. Why? Because hydrogen fuel cells use zero gasoline and produce zero emissions other than water vapor. They're a sustainable technology for a better environment. And they ultimately reduce our dependence on petroleum. Equinox Fuel Cell is an electric vehicle powered by the GM fourth-generation fuel cell system, our most advanced fuel cell propulsion system to date. The electric motor traction system will provide the vehicle with instantaneous torque, smooth acceleration, and quiet performance.

The Equinox Fuel Cell will go nearly 150 miles per fill-up,(2) and reach a top speed of 100 mph. Green Car Journal has given the Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell its Green Car Vision Award ® .(3) The Equinox Fuel Cell won the award over several nominees, including the Honda FCX Clarity and Toyota Prius Plug-In.

Although these vehicles aren't available to purchase, they're already receiving recognition from Green Car Journal. The Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell was given its 2008 Green Car Vision Award ® , 2 the first time the magazine has recognized a limited production vehicle for its forward-thinking technologies. The Equinox Fuel Cell won the award over several nominees, including the Honda FCX Clarity and Toyota Prius Plug-In. After a two-week test drive, Motor Trend gives GM and Chevy a "loud shoutout for building a hydrogen-fuel-cell car that runs like a Rolex "

Musings:

  • It was August 27th in1859 that Edwin Drake struck oil at 69 feet below the surface near Titusville, Pa.  This was the world's first successful oil well.  At that time it was an inexpensive source of power and quickly replaced the whale oil in lamps.
  • I hope the fuel cell that scientist Jerry Woodall has developed will be marketed very soon.  Hydrogen power from a formula of Aluminum and Gallium is up against those who profit from oil and gas.  Especially foreign oil producers.
  • In 2008, the United States had the largest reported gold holdings of 8,133.5 tonnes. .
  • I don't repeat gossip, so listen carefully....
  • How can you avoid spotting a wrinkle every time you walk by a mirror? Take off your glasses.
  • Gold can be hammered so thin that light can pass through it.
  • One ounce of silver can be drawn into 8,000 feet of thin wire.
  • A "karat" is equal to 4.167% gold content and 24 karats equal 100% gold content (aka .9999 fine or 99.99 pure.
  • The Federal Reserve is not the U.S. Government as the name implies.  It is a private concern that the U.S. Government has one seat as the Chairman of the Board.  The Federal Reserve has the printing presses from whence all the stimulus dollars are coming from.

I still belive that Real Estate though floundering would be a good  hedge against the coming hyper-inflation.  Also many companies are offering gold and silver as good hedges..
